The foursomes were composed of one pro and one A, B and C handicap player. Winners: Low gross, Joe Cheves, Mimosa Country Club, Morganton, 69; tied for second, Ted Fox, Tryon, and Walter Work, Gastonia, 73. pro-pro (best ball) : Fox and Cheves, 64. W. -_Continued on Back Page_ Three One-Act Plays At Tryon School Tonight The Tryon Beta Club will pre sent three one-act plays tonight at 8 at the school auditorium in order to raise money for its scholarship fund. The plays are “Mildred Is My Name” by Spranger Barry and the cast includes Gail Johnson, Judy Reynolds, Glenn Head, Jim my Hall. “Never Say Diet” will be given by Wallace Lankford. The second play, “Escape”, by Matthew F. Christopher, will have the following cast: Harold Galli more, Barry Bowen, Gay Corpen ing, Ann Covington. “Sound and Fury” by William Sydney Porter, will be given by Ambrose-Mills and Emma Warmby. The third play, “Even Exchange” by Paul S. McCoy, will have this cast: Melvin Hipps, Linda Ar ledge, Peggy Harris. Directors of the plays are Miss Elizabeth Romanstine and Mrs. Ray Coley. Others helping to pro duce it include Franklin McKaig, James Cowan, Kay Dedmondt, Joyce Farthing, Betty Bruce, Lew is Edwards, Pat Caston, Ann Moon, Miss Myrtle Baldwin, Mrs. W. J. Hipps, Mrs. J. B. McKaig, Miss Lula Burrell. HONOR COURT RESULTS The Polk County Boy Scout Court of Honor was held Monday night at the Tryon school. B. B. Flynn opened the meeting with prayer and Scout Executive R. M.
